Knossos, Crete

This is a a picture of a fresco at the Palace of Knossos at Crete. This is one of many frescos the palace houses. It depicts a scene of two young males helping a third jump over a bull. It is called the "Bull Leaping Fresco" and scholars believe this scene can be interpreted as either displaying a recreational activity, sporting event, or even religious ceremony.

It is believed that this palace could have belonged to King Minos, who is a mythological character who is thought to have actually existed. They think this because of the extravagance on the frescos, impressive throne rooms, and chronology, this palace was believed to have belonged to the mythical King Minos, the son of Zeus and Europa.
