This is a fresco of an Athenian named Alcibiades. Why is his fresco in Sparta if he is Athenian? Like I said before the Spartans didn't memorialize just anybody. Alcibiades was an Athenian general who fled to Sparta in order to escape ostracism after stirring up trouble in Athens. With the help of Alcibiades, Sparta defeated Athens in many battles during the Pelopoesian Wars. Alcibiades was murdered in 404 BC.

I really liked this fresco, because of the facial expression Alcibiades is depicted with. He looks very mischievous, like he is up to no good (which he was). I find it impressive how an array of tiles can express such clear and distinct emotion. It is very well done on the part of the artist.
