Island of Patmos

This is a picture of me at the Monastery of St. John. When you enter it, you are allowed to walk in some of the rooms as well as visit a museum that has been built inside of it. The museum contains artifacts such as original manuscripts from the Bible, clothes worn by the apostles, and original artwork as well. This place has such an aura of peace and tranquility. Walking through it, you feel like you are going back in time. The monastery also uphold traditional practices such as women needing to cover their legs and shoulders while inside it. As a person of faith I found visiting the monastery a very spiritual experience and well worth the hike it took to get there!
